Reporting templates

We publish templates to assist titleholders to meet their reporting obligations when submitting:

  • annual title assessment reports (ATARs)
  • greenhouse gas injection and accounting reports
  • monthly production reports.

New and updated templates

The remade 2025 RMA Regulations, commenced on 31 March 2026.

There are new reporting requirements and templates for:

  • Monthly production reports (MPRs)
  • Greenhouse gas accounting and injection reports.

We updated the templates to align with the changes and to:

  • clarify requirements
  • improve consistency in reporting
  • ensure compliance with the 2025 RMA Regulations.

The design and implementation of the templates included industry consultation.

ATAR templates (approved form) – effective
31 March 2026

Under section 32 of the 2025 RMA Regulations, titleholders must use the approved templates for submitting ATARs.

Please note: For each title or combined group of titles (if approved), you must submit both the MS Word template and the Excel file to generate a complete ATAR.
