The Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2025 (RMA Regulations) will commence on 31 March 2026.

The well and survey data format schedules in the 2011 RMA Regulations have been replaced with a flexible, technology-neutral approach. This allows the Titles Administrator to set the appropriate format and media requirements.

Under the OPGGS Act, you can submit a supplementary instrument using a form that the Titles Administrator has approved, with your application to approve a dealing.
A supplementary instrument is used when the original instrument includes confidential or commercially sensitive information. Its purpose is to enable a person viewing the Titles Register to understand the effect of the dealing while preserving confidentiality.
If you are applying for approval to transfer a title, you must include an instrument of transfer, using the form approved by the Titles Administrator.
