Infrastructure licence

An infrastructure licence authorises the licensee to construct and operate an infrastructure facility in an offshore area. Common examples of when an infrastructure licence is needed include:

  • floating LNG or conversion to methanol
  • if the production facility is located outside of the production licence area, or
  • if the ownership of the production facility differs from that of the underlying production licence.
